We will pick you up at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Time to be advised, meet and assist from Norbert Safaris & Adventures guide who will be with you on your safari.
You will be welcomed with a cup of coffee, tea and hot chocolate served with some delicious snacks, with a glass of champagne at your disposal.
Our guide will help you with luggage in your comfortable safari vehicle and safely start to drive for 1 hour to your hotel in Arusha town.
You will be assisted to check-in at the hotel for your dinner and overnight stay.
After your leisure breakfast at – Kahawa House, you will be provided with your short safari briefing, covering all the essential information and answering any questions you might have regarding your upcoming safari.
We will pack your hot lunch before heading to our first destination – Tarangire National Park.
This charming quiet park is a hidden jewel, especially when you like to experience an authentic safari in northern Tanzania. Its unique landscape, dotted with thousands of baobabs is spectacular.
The Tarangire Ecosystem is defined by the long-distance migration of wildebeest and zebras. Thousands of animals concentrate in Tarangire National Park during the dry season from the surrounding wet-season dispersal and calving areas.
Elephants are the undisputed stars in Tarangire. During the dry season, this park has one of the largest concentrations of elephants in the world.
In the afternoon you will have your hot lunch served with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
Later in the late afternoon drive to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Leisure breakfast at Lake Manyara Secret, depart around 09:00hrs with your packed hot lunch to Lake Manyara national park “The home of the tree-climbing lions” for full day game drive.
Lake Manyara National Park is a scenic gem, once described by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”.
It’s one of Tanzania’s smallest parks, with nearly two-thirds of its area covered by the lake.
The compact game-viewing here is a true microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, the world’s largest population of baboons, 400 species of birds, and the soda-ash lake with pink-hued flamingos.
Lunch to be served in the afternoon with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate
Enjoy your late afternoon game drive, exit from the park and drive to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Early breakfast at Lake Manyara Secret, and start to drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area.
After gate formalities straight descend to the crater floor for the full day crater tour.
Here you will first start to appreciate the majesty of one of the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa.
If it will be your lucky day, you will have a chance to spot all of the big 5 including rhinos, lions, Leopards, Buffalo, and Elephants, which live in this wonderful caldera alongside zebras and hippos, wildebeest, hyenas, and many more.
View spectacular birds including flamingos on the Soda Lake, geese, storks, and vultures.
In the afternoon, enjoy your lunch served with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate at the picnic site called Ngoitoktok swamp while facing the hippo pool, before you continue the safari while ascending the crater.
After an exciting day in the crater, you will continue to drive towards the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.
Arrive in the evening at the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.
Enjoy a full day of game drive in Serengeti National Park , with morning and afternoon game drives exploring the vast plains of Serengeti National Park
The Seronera area of Central Serengeti is the national park’s most popular area. And it is very popular with the wildlife too.
With endless plains, spectacular sunsets, infinite views, and millions of wildebeest thundering across the savannah, with one of the largest concentrations of game on the continent and a fascinating variety of landscapes, it’s no wonder the Serengeti National Park is Africa’s most famous park
Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of this African jewel and Immerse number of Animals (The Big Five can be found here).
Hot lunch to be served at the midday with with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
Later continue with an afternoon game drive in the vast plains of Serengeti national park until sunset.
OPTIONAL: Wake up for early sunrise game drive while expecting to come many wildlife activities searching for food and water, finger crossed for coming across the killing from the predators hunting for their early meal for their cubs.
Leisure breakfast at the lodge, and gently start to drive out from Serengeti National Park.
On the way, you will visit Oldupai Gorge – A site that holds the earliest evidence of the existence of human ancestors. Paleoanthropologists have found hundreds of fossilized bones and stone tools in the area dating back millions of years, leading them to conclude that humans evolved in Africa.
Proceed to visit Maasai Tribe Experience – you will have 1 hour or so, visiting Maasai village and learning more about Maasai culture, believes and lifestyle. You will be hosted by the local Maasai guide. Finishing by learning how to dance Maasai local dance.
Continue to gently drive to the lodge, arrive in the late afternoon for your evening at leisure, dinner and overnight.
After early breakfast, we drive towards Lake Eyasi and have a full day of cultural excursion with the Hadzabe Tribe, Africa’s last true hunter-gatherers.
The Hadzabe way of life closely resembles that of their ancestor’s thousands of years ago.
We gain insight into the nomadic lifestyle of these fascinating people, surviving in harsh conditions. This tribe lives in ways of bygone times, hunting with bows and arrows and gathering plants.
These nomads interact closely with the Datoga people, another traditional tribe that still practices age-old traditions today.
The Datoga people have been trading as blacksmiths for centuries and make the arrowheads used by the Hadzabe.
Hot lunch in midday to be served with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and soft drinks.
In the afternoon you will gently start to drive back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight
Marangu Gate (1,980 m) – Mandara Hut (2700 m)
Walking approx. 16km in 8hours over the montane forest and low alpine zone (moorland).
Depart early around 0700hrs in Arusha, and start to drive to Marangu Gate via Moshi town. Arrive around 0900hrs at the gate. Meet your guide who will accompany you and guide you on the Day Hiking.
After packing all the needful stuff you will continue with gate formalities you will sign in at the park office and your guide will work on other Park formalities, and straight away start your hiking through the beautiful landscape of the mountain forest, little streams, and waterfalls.
Short breaks on the way while getting needful information about flora and fauna you may come across.
After 3 – 4 reach Mandara hut (2,700 m) for your leisure lunch at the one Stopover Camp of the Mighty Mount Kilimanjaro.
After your leisure lunch, you will gently start to descend to Marangu gate, around 16300hrs you will be out and signed out at the park office.
Drive back to Arusha town for your dinner and overnight
After early breakfast at Ngaresero Mountain Lodge, enjoy your last daylight in our humble beautiful country.
Later you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight going back home or to the next destination – Flight time to be advised
